FAQ
The real questions,
The real questions,
answered plainly
No fine print you need a law degree for. Here's what people actually ask us.
Is my money at risk?
No, because there is no money on Akrue. You learn to invest in a simulator that uses
real ASX and US market data with simulated money. You can't deposit money, you can't
buy real shares, and you can't lose a cent while you learn.
Is this financial advice?
No. Akrue provides general financial education only. It is not financial advice and
does not take your personal circumstances into account. Akrue Pty Ltd does not hold an
Australian Financial Services Licence (AFSL). We teach how things work: we never tell
you what you should do with your money. There's a full plain-English explainer at
Is this financial advice?
What age is Akrue for?
Akrue is built for 16 to 28 year olds in Australia. The minimum age to create an
account is 16.
Can my parents see my account?
No. Even if they bought it for you. Your account is yours: parents can't see your
trades, your scores, or whether you opened the app. We also never sell your data.
Is there a free trial?
Yes: 7 days, no card required. The trial includes the full simulator plus
Season 1 of both tracks: Survive (payslips, tax, super) and Invest.
Full membership pricing will be announced before launch. Join the waitlist for updates.
What happens after 12 months?
If your membership was a gift, it simply ends: gift subscriptions never auto-renew.
If you want to keep going, you can choose to renew yourself. Pricing will be announced before launch.
Can I invest for real on Akrue?
No. Nobody can invest real money through Akrue. There's no brokerage, no trading
account, and no money movement of any kind. When you're ready to invest for real,
that happens somewhere else, on your terms. Akrue's job is to make sure you walk in
knowing exactly what you're doing.
What's in it that school didn't teach me?
The practical half of money that school skipped: how to read a payslip, how tax
actually gets calculated, what super is and why it matters now, how debt works,
where your money goes each week, and then how investing and markets actually work,
practised in a simulator with real market data and none of your own money.
